The staff at EEC can assist individuals to access funding opportunities to upgrade skills and increase employability. Your first step is to attend an Information & Decision Making session at the centre, after which time you will be provided with the contact information of an employment counsellor, who can talk to you about your goals, determine eligibility and assist you in the completion of a return to work action plan and training application if appropriate.

Second Career Information

*UPDATE*

As of June 8, 2010, Employment Ontario made changes to application guidelines that mean more laid-off Ontarians will be eligible for Second Career. Modifications have been made to the application guidelines for criteria including length of job search and unemployment, work history and skills. Talk to staff at The Employment and Education Centre to see if Second Career is a good fit for you.
